The rich paneling and trim throughout this restaurant set a luxuriously relaxed mood reminiscent of the 1940s.
Sullivan’s is a growing high-end restaurant chain which has received Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence every year since 2008. This new location in Downtown Baltimore near Inner Harbor features steaks and seafood as well as live jazz.
ILEX Woodworking supplied Sapele paneling and running trim in the dining area, vestibule, waiting area and private dining rooms as well as custom cabinetry, built-ins, bi-fold doors, jambs, sidelights and banquet seating. A beautifully curved header over the bar defines the space and creates an intimate area for socializing. Custom bookcases add character and warmth to the dining space.
Excellent project management was the core of this project’s success. With an ever-shifting schedule, coordinated production, finishing and installation was vital to the restaurant’s successful opening.
The job had numerous challenges along with the schedule, each of which ILEX met with energy and a problem solving mentality.— Robert Ehardt, Senior Vice President of Construction
